The 1st beer on Thanksgiving

Part of Old City Town Hall

One of the church's in Munich...the only one that wasn't destroyed completely during the war

The Devil's footprint...that's what the legend says. It's really the architect's, he knew he wasn't going to live to see the church done, so he wanted to make sure he left a part of himself.

Hofbrauhaus

The Synagogue in Munich...the original was destroyed in the war, this was just finished in 2006.

Um yes there was Starbucks in Germany

This is where Hitler announced that he had won the 37% "majority" vote.

All of the monuments in Munich are small, but they are meant to be small. They are meant to be remembered when they are walked by every day by the Germans. This particular monement is down an alley. The painted silver bricks symbolize the people of Germany during the Third Reich that walked down the alley to bypass the Nazis. On the next street over, when you walked by,  you were to salute the Nazi's and their lies. If you were caught walking down this alley too many times in a row, you were punished. They want to remember those that fought against the
 regime.
